| There are several ways to get
involved with our organization.
Volunteer Opportunities:
- Throughout the year, we may have special projects that need
extra attention and helping hands. Call us and we will provide you
with more information.
- YES Board of Directors is comprised of volunteers from the community
who devote their time and energy to overseeing our organization.
Community members who are interested can contact us.
Donations:
- As a non-profit community based agency, YES continuously strives
to expand and enhance its programs and services. Financial donations
from individual community members and organizations are deeply appreciated.
Acknowledgment letters will be sent.
- Donations of materials/clothing – YES, in partnership
with Big Brothers/Sisters of Long Island, maintains a clothing receptacle
where donations of used clothing, small household products, shoes,
towels, etc., can be dropped off. The bin is located in the municipal
parking behind the Central Avenue library in Massapequa, just off
New York Avenue. Donations may be left throughout the year.
Planned Giving and Charitable Gifts
- A gift to YES can change a life and make a lasting impression in
your community. Memorial and other special gifts are a meaningful
way to acknowledge someone special or pay tribute to a loved one.
All donations and contributions to YES are tax deductible as permitted
