About the Role
The Project Coordinator will be responsible to organize and implement the general day to day activities of the Massapequa Takes Action Coalition (MTAC) under YESCCC’s federal Drug Free Communities Support Program Grant. The Coordinator works under a Program Director and with a coalition of sectors and partners within the community of Massapequa supporting the mission of the program grant to prevent and reduce youth substance misuse. This is a 25 hour a week position with potential for Full Time.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher with experience in public health or health education, administration and/or community outreach. In social work or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
At least two years of experience with program coordination in community setting.
Strong knowledge of substance use, prevention and addiction preferred
Familiarity and comfort with reporting in web-based and developing content for social media, websites and press releases.
Candidates must be willing to travel and work occasional evenings and weekends.
