Project AWARE School District Program Manager
Seeking an experienced educational leader to serve as the Project AWARE Local Education Agency (LEA) Project Manager assigned to a local Nassau County School District. Project AWARE is a five-year grant-funded initiative designed to strengthen a district’s framework for addressing mental health, substance use, and co-occurring disorders while promoting the social and emotional well-being of school-aged youth. The LEA Project Manager will oversee the day-to-day implementation of Project AWARE within their assigned School District and serve as the primary liaison among YES Community Counseling Center, district leadership and personnel, families, community providers, and other project partners. This position is well-suited for an experienced school or district leader who can work independently, navigate district systems effectively, and manage multiple activities and partnerships. Part-time Payroll Specialist
Seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Part-Time Payroll Specialist to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing. Responsibilities include maintaining payroll records, calculating wages and deductions, processing payroll tax withholdings, tracking employee hours and paid time off, and assisting with payroll-related reporting and compliance. Prior payroll experience, proficiency with ADP payroll software, and strong Microsoft Excel skills are required. The ideal candidate is highly organized, dependable, and committed to accuracy and confidentiality. Training and Education Coordinator
Seeking an experienced professional to serve as the Project AWARE Training and Technical Assistance Coordinator. Project AWARE is a five-year, grant-funded initiative designed to strengthen school districts’ capacity to address mental health, substance use, and co-occurring disorders while promoting the social and emotional well-being of school-aged youth. The Training and Technical Assistance Coordinator will work closely with YES staff, school district leadership, and community partners to assess professional development needs, coordinate and deliver evidence-based trainings, and provide ongoing technical assistance and implementation support across participating Nassau County school districts. This position is well-suited for an individual with experience in education, behavioral health, or professional development who is comfortable facilitating trainings, working collaboratively with school personnel, and supporting the implementation of effective school-based practices. School Behavioral Health Counselors
Seeking qualified behavioral health professionals to serve as School Behavioral Health Counselors for Project AWARE, a five-year grant-funded initiative designed to strengthen school districts' capacity to address mental health, substance use, and co-occurring disorders while promoting the social and emotional well-being of school-aged youth. The School Behavioral Health Counselor will work collaboratively with school personnel, families, and YES project staff to provide mental health screenings, brief counseling and early intervention, crisis support, family consultation, and referrals to appropriate behavioral health services within participating Nassau County school districts. This position is well-suited for a licensed or license-eligible mental health professional with experience working with children and adolescents, strong clinical and communication skills, and an interest in supporting students within school settings.
